They're related, but there's a key difference: a wig typically isn't customized to your head. A Mesh Integration system is completely customizable, built to your scalp and your measurements, and matched to your color and texture. And depending on how your system is designed, it can even be removable: some systems stay secured between appointments, while others are built as "free wear" systems that can be taken off and put back on. Yes, you can live your life in your system, including working out. But it's important to have honest expectations: the hair in your system is not your real hair, so it can't be washed or treated the same way. It's delicate, and it needs its own care routine to stay beautiful and last. Some system designs also aren't suited for certain styles, like high ponytails. It depends on how yours is built. Cymonne gives every client detailed care instructions and will be upfront about exactly what your specific system can and can't do.
When installed correctly by a trained specialist, Mesh Integration should not damage your hair. Cymonne's focus is always on the health of your natural hair first. She'll only proceed if she's confident the installation is appropriate for your current hair condition. If it's not, she'll tell you.
